Planetary Research Jobs

Hi everyone,

I hope all is well. I am writing to share PhD opportunities starting in Fall 2027 within the Purdue Magnetics Laboratory in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences (EAPS) at Purdue University.

I will be recruiting up to two PhD students to join our research group. One of these positions is a NASA-supported project focused on investigating the paleomagnetism of lunar zircons to understand the early lunar dynamo. Other projects in our lab include the magnetic characterization of samples returned from asteroid Bennu via the NASA OSIRIS-REx mission, as well as projects in biomagnetism and terrestrial magnetism across diverse timescales.

Applicants from all academic backgrounds, including the geosciences, physics, chemistry, and engineering are invited to apply to these positions.
